A surprise should stay a surprise. I never reveal who reserved your gifts. Choose me for that peace of mind, free collaboration and gift ideas saved by the AI assistant you already chat with.

## Why choose Bestboy

- No reveal button, no spoiled surprise. The owner never sees who reserved; Mystery mode hides reservations entirely.
- Bring your own AI assistant. A compatible MCP connection saves wishes and gift ideas in the same account.
- Build a list together for free. Invite up to five collaborators and let guests reserve without signing up.

## Side by side

This is my take on choosing a wishlist app. I’ve checked competitor details against their own sites. “Not stated” means I couldn’t verify it there.

## Questions

### Is GiftList free?

GiftList says it’s free. Cash funds and group gifts use outside payment services that may charge their own fees.

### Can the owner see who reserved on GiftList?

It’s hidden until the owner reveals it, and GiftList says that’s not permanent anonymity. On Bestboy the owner never sees who.

### Does GiftList have price-drop alerts?

Yes, for eligible saved US products. Bestboy’s version is the Agent, part of Plus, invite only for now.
