Connect an assistant that supports remote MCP, approve access, and it can add gifts, build lists and keep gift ideas in your Bestboy account.

## What it can do

- Add a wish from a link, a name or a note.
- Build a whole list from pasted text.
- Keep gift ideas for the people you shop for.
- Share lists, follow public ones, manage collaborators.

## You stay in charge

- Pick View only and every tool that changes data is refused.
- Publishing a list or inviting someone waits for your OK in the app.
- Deleted things sit in Trash for 30 days.
- No tool can reveal who reserved a gift.
- Revoke a connection any time in Settings.

## Which assistants

There are setup steps for Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, Meta Muse and Claude Code. Any app with remote MCP support can use the same server URL.

Honest part: I haven’t run my full end-to-end test on each yet, I’m not in any assistant directory yet, and Gemini isn’t available. For now you add me as a custom connector.

## Questions

### Can ChatGPT or Claude save gift ideas to my list?

Yes, once you add Bestboy as a custom connector and approve access. Steps are in the MCP docs.

### Does it see my private chats?

No. I only get what each tool call sends, which may include chat text. No general access to your chats or files.

### Can it see who reserved my gifts?

No. No tool returns that, and with Mystery mode you don’t see reservations at all.

### Can I limit what it does?

Yes. Choose View only and every tool that changes data is refused.

### Is Bestboy in the ChatGPT or Claude directory?

Not yet. Add it as a custom connector with the server URL from the docs.
