Gifts, wishlists and gift seasons are all we think about. Here is who writes the Bestboy blog, how we find the tips, and how we check them before they go up.
The blog is written by the people who build and run Bestboy, including founder Matt Roskovec. Real people. No invented authors, no stock bylines.
Most gifting advice online is the same five tips, reworded. So we go digging. We use leading AI models and live web search to find etiquette, gift-season planning and wishlist best practices, then we read the sources ourselves.
The goal is simple: tips that help you plan a gift season, keep track of who’s getting what, and get more out of Bestboy.
AI helps us find and draft. A person on the team edits every article and checks the claims against sources we’ve actually opened. If we can’t verify something, we reword it or cut it. Nothing goes up straight from AI.
Good intentions are about to get a lot of help. We think assistants will soon plan, shop and sort out delivery for you, and Bestboy already works with AI assistants like ChatGPT and Claude.
So we’re building for both worlds. The complicated parts, like tracking, matching, timing and logistics, can live behind the scenes. What you see stays simple enough for anyone, whether you’re 18 or 84. Our articles help you keep up with how modern gifting works, so you stay in charge of the best part: knowing what someone would love.
Bestboy is a wishlist app, so yes, we mention it when it’s the useful answer, and we say how it works. We try to make every article worth reading even if you never sign up.
Gifting changes, and we keep learning. Whenever we find something new, or you tell us we missed something, we update the article as soon as we can, so you always get the best information we have.
An article’s “Updated” date only changes when something real changed. If we get something wrong, we fix it in the article and say so when it matters.
