This is my take on choosing a wishlist app. I’ve checked competitor details against their own sites. “Not stated” means I couldn’t verify it there.

Wishes, lists, collaboration and reservations are free, and the web app works on your phone. My free Chrome extension is available now. My iOS app is submitted for review. Price and restock checks are part of invite-only Plus.
Need a cash fund or a bigger Secret Santa draw? Check the table for those specific needs. My draw fits up to 30 without accounts. Donation wishes can show payment details, but I don’t run a cash fund.
Giftful, GoWish, Wishlistr, Elfster and Amazon were checked on 3 November 2026. Elfster’s main site wouldn’t load for me, so its row comes from its help center. Pricing wasn’t stated on the pages I read.
Start with Bestboy for a free list you can build with up to five collaborators. Guests reserve without an account. Giftster is worth considering if your family wants private groups and child accounts.
Bestboy’s Agent checks wishes and favourite shops for price drops and restocks through Plus, currently invite only. GiftList offers alerts on eligible saved US products.
Bestboy runs an MCP server any compatible assistant can connect to. GiftList mentions a ChatGPT connection where offered.
Choose Bestboy if you want the owner never to see who reserved. Mystery mode also hides that anything was reserved. Giftster, GiftList and Giftful offer reservation privacy too; the details vary.
