Use Bestboy's People feature to privately track gift ideas for a partner, parent, or friend — completely separate from your own public wishlists.
## 🎁 Planning gifts for other people
Your own wishlists are for things *you* want. **People** (found at [/gifts](/gifts)) is the other direction — a private place to jot down gift ideas for someone else, like a partner, parent, or friend.
1. Go to [People](/gifts) and click **Add person**. Give them a name, and optionally their relation to you and birthday. 2. Bestboy creates a private "Gift ideas for [name]" list automatically — it's never shared or shown to anyone else. 3. Add gift ideas to it the same way you'd [add a wish](/help/adding-and-editing-wishes): name, optional link, price, and notes. 4. When you actually give someone a gift, mark that idea as gifted (with the year) so you can look back later at what you've already given them.
Because it's a separate list, the same idea can be a "Birthday" idea for one person without ever touching your own wishlists.
No — a People gift-idea list is completely private to you. It's never shared or shown to anyone, including the person it's about.
Your wishlist is for things you want and can share with others. People is the reverse — a private space for ideas you have for someone else.
Yes — mark a gift idea as gifted (with the year) once you've given it, so you can look back later and avoid repeating yourself.
