Keep private gift ideas for a partner, parent or friend, separate from your own wishlists.

Your own wishlists are for things you want. People is the other direction: a private place to keep gift ideas for someone else, like a partner, parent or friend. Only you can see it.

Add a person

1. Go to People.
2. Tap Add person.
3. Give them a name. Their relation to you and their birthday are optional.

I create a private “Gift ideas for” list for them automatically. It’s never shared or shown to anyone else.

Save a gift idea

1. Open the person’s page.
2. Add a gift idea the same way you’d make a wish: a name, plus an optional link, price and notes.

You can add the same idea to any of your lists too.

Keep track of what you’ve given

When you give someone a gift, mark that idea as gifted, with the year. Later you can look back at what you’ve already given them.

Good to know

• The person can’t see their list. It’s private to you.
• It’s separate from your wishlists. The same idea can be a birthday idea for one person without touching your own lists.

No. A People gift-idea list is completely private to you. It’s never shared or shown to anyone, including the person it’s about.

What’s the difference between People and my own wishlist?

Your wishlist is for things you want and can share with others. People is the reverse: a private space for ideas you have for someone else.

Can I track what I’ve already given someone?

Yes. Mark a gift idea as gifted, with the year, once you’ve given it, so you can look back later and avoid repeating yourself.
