See how visitors reserve a wish on a shared Bestboy list — no account needed — so nobody accidentally buys the same gift twice for the same person.
## 🙋 Reserving a gift for someone
When you open someone's shared wishlist link, you can reserve any wish that isn't already claimed — no account needed.
1. Open the list's shared link. 2. Find the wish you want to get and click **Reserve**. 3. The wish now shows **Reserved — undo** to you, so you can change your mind later, but everyone else just sees it's taken.
The list owner never sees *who* reserved a wish, only that it's reserved — the surprise is safe. If the list has [donation-enabled wishes](/help/donating-to-a-wish), you'll see a **Donate** button on those instead of (or alongside) Reserve.
No — anyone with the shared list link can reserve a wish without creating an account.

No — the owner only sees that a wish is reserved, never who reserved it, so the surprise stays safe.
