For bigger gifts — a trip, a course, furniture — you can let people contribute money instead of buying the exact item.

1. Add a payout bank account first: go to Settings → Customize and fill in the Donation settings section.
2. When adding or editing a wish, turn on Collect donations.
3. Choose whether people can donate an exact amount or any amount they like, and add an optional message explaining what the money is for.

Donation wishes show a Donate button instead of (or alongside) Reserve on your shared list. Bestboy doesn't process the money itself — see the FAQ for how transfers actually work.

Frequently asked questions

Does Bestboy process the donation payments itself?

No — Bestboy only tracks that a wish is collecting donations and shows your payout details to visitors. The actual transfer happens directly between the donor and you.

Can people donate any amount, or does it have to be a fixed amount?

You choose — when setting up the wish, pick whether visitors donate a specific amount or whatever they like.

Do I need to set up my payout details before enabling donations?

Yes — add your payout bank account in Settings → Customize's Donation settings first, then turn on Collect donations when adding or editing a wish.
